Doc. dr. sc. Ivana Prkačin, MD was born in Split on June 24, 1984. In the same city, she finished elementary school and the first language high school. In 2003, she enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, where she graduated in 2009. Then, in 2010, he completed the obligatory internship of a doctor of medicine at the Split-Dalmatia County National Assembly, and in the same year he passed the professional exam before the examination commission of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Croatia. In February 2011, he began an internship in the field of dermatology and venereology at the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases of the Clinical Hospital Center "Sisters of Mercy". During the same in the academic year 2012/2013. She attended the Professional Postgraduate Study in Dermatovenerology. In the same academic year, he enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral study "Biomedicine and Health" at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb. After completing her specialist studies, she was employed at her home institution and since then she has been employed as a specialist in dermatology and venereology at the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases of the KBC Sestre milosrdnice. She defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb, entitled: "Incidence of BRAF gene mutation in dysplastic nevus and melanoma in situ" under the expert guidance of mentor Mirna Šitum and commentator Ivan Šami. Her areas of scientific and professional interest are dermatological oncology and medical cosmetology. On. 10/23/2019 The Parent Committee accepted the proposal of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Zagreb, and at the 17th session held on October 23, 2019, selected an application for the scientific title of research associate. So far, as an author and co-author, he has published 20 scientific research articles in scientific journals and about thirty conference papers in abstract books. At the Mlinarska School of Nursing, she held a curriculum in dermatovenereology and participated in the organization of the congress and symposium of the Clinic for Skin and Venereal Diseases of the KBC Sestre milosrdnice. She has attended numerous dermatovenerology education courses organized by the European Academy of Dermatovenerologists (EADV) and is the recipient of a scholarship for EADV dermatovenerology specialists.
